Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Andriya Jacob Fresh Produce collects, why we collect it, and your rights. We follow Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].

Who we are

Andriya Jacob Fresh Produce is a small plot at Plot 92, Snake Park / Glaudina, Harare, Zimbabwe, selling chicks and point-of-lay ducks. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at any time:

What we collect

When you contact us or order. If you message us on WhatsApp, call us or email us, we receive your name, your phone number or email address, and anything you tell us, such as which birds you want, how many, and when you’d like to collect them.

The enquiry form. The form on our Visit us page does not send anything to our website. It opens WhatsApp on your phone or computer with your message already typed, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.

When you visit the website. Our web hosting company automatically keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time. These are used to keep the website running and secure. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Comments. If you comment on a news post, we keep your name, email address and comment. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Cookies

Our website doesn’t set cookies to track visitors.

  • The Google map on our website is provided by Google and may set Google’s cookies. It only loads if you allow it. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
  • We remember your choice about the map in your own browser, so we don’t ask on every page.
  • If you leave a comment and tick the box to save your details, WordPress remembers your name and email in a cookie for next time.
  • Links to WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How we use your information

  • To answer your questions and arrange your order and collection.
  • To let you know when birds are ready, if you’ve asked us to.
  • To keep the sales records our business needs and the law requires.
  • To keep the website working and secure.

We only send you news or offers if you’ve asked for them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information. Some of it passes through the services we use to run our business:

  • WhatsApp (Meta), for messages
  • our email provider
  • our website hosting company
  • Google, if you choose to load the map

These services may store information outside Zimbabwe. We only use well-known providers that protect personal information. We may also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and order details only for as long as we need them to deal with your order and any follow-up questions, and sales records for as long as the law requires. Our hosting company keeps website server logs for a short time.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, such as using password-protected phones and accounts, and we only share it with people who need it to help with your order.

Your rights

Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete your information
  • stop using it to send you news or offers

You can also withdraw any consent you’ve given, such as for the map. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to POTRAZ, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe, which looks after data protection in Zimbabwe.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. If you’re under 18, please ask a parent, guardian or teacher to contact us for you.
